US— Ando Media, which provides ad measurement and insertion technology for online audio, has been acquired by Triton Digital Media, a firm providing software and digital services to the broadcast industry.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Mike Agovino, chief operating officer at Triton, said the firm wanted to expand Ando’s technology and integrate it with Triton’s own digital offering, which include tools for streaming, text messaging, content management systems and local search.
Ando claims that its measurement service for streaming audio is used by 6,800 webcasters across the US. It has developed a tool for targeted ad insertion, and last month announced a merger with Spacial Audio Solutions, which provides software for audio streaming and ad insertion.
The firm also recently entered the Media Rating Council’s accreditation process for its measurement product.
