US— Adobe is hoping to make good on its $1.8bn acquisition of Omniture with today’s launch of version five of its Creative Suite (CS5 ) of graphic design software tools, which boasts easy integration with the latter’s marketing optimisation and web analytics technology.
CEO Shantanu Narayen (pictured) has made the Omniture integration a cornerstone of his pitch to the advertising community, who he is attempting to win over with this latest release.
In a statement ahead of the launch of CS5, Narayen said: “This release first and foremost addresses the challenges facing publishers and creatives worldwide – how to build profitable businesses around digital content.
“By coupling sophisticated online business analytics with dazzling creative tools, we’re ensuring that publishers, designers and marketers can create, deliver and optimise beautiful, high-impact digital experiences across media and devices.”
Among the examples given: Flash Professional and Flash Builder users will have access to Omniture SiteCatalyst from within their software, allowing them to drop trackers within their ads and web page designs. Meanwhile for a limited time, the SiteCatalyst NetAverages internet trends reporting tool will be available free of charge to CS users as part of the Adobe CS Live service.
