Accenture and MIT team up over analytics and data use

US — The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Accenture have teamed up to try and close the gap between analytics technology and the application of data.

The Accenture and MIT Alliance will spend the next five years exploring the challenges of harnessing big data and new approaches to improve the science of decision-making.

Accenture Analytics’ senior managing director Narendra Mulani and David Simchi-Levi, MIT professor of civil and environmental engineering and engineering systems, will head-up the team.

“Organisations recognise the need to develop analytics capabilities that turn data into actionable insights in order to attain a competitive edge and growth,” said Mulani (pictured).
