ABCi and Handmark to develop mobile app usage stats

US— ABCi, the Audit Bureau of Circulation’s interactive arm, and mobile app developer Handmark have struck a partnership to provide publishers and advertisers with audited mobile usage statistics.

The auditing body had recently completed a review of Handmark’s mobile application platform before the two joined forces to create usage statistics for the wider mobile industry.

Evan Conway, Handmark’s executive vice president of marketing said: “A mobile app is no longer a luxury for publishers and media brands, it is a necessity. As we continue to help publishers broaden their reach and engage their readers in a new way, it is fantastic to have the support of ABCi making it easy for our partners to broadly communicate their success with confidence.”

ABCi’s president and managing director Michael Lavery added: “We are pleased to work together with Handmark and its partners to provide independent verification of app usage to facilitate this burgeoning and important channel.”
