ABC to audit online app traffic
The new metrics have been agreed by the standards-setting body Jicwebs, and ABC said publishers have the option of reporting their app traffic figures separately or as part of their overall web traffic certificate.
ABC’s group executive director of communication and innovation Richard Foan (pictured) said the new metrics “enable media owners to highlight the growth of their smart device apps while at the same time allowing advertisers to gauge their popularity and measure client campaigns accordingly”.
