Confirmit has held its second hackathon, this time in Yaroslavl, Russia – with the winning idea a community panel plug-in that gives panellists the ability to link their profiles to Facebook and Twitter accounts.
The integration would allow panellists to share survey invitations within their social networks, widening the pool of potential respondents.
Hackathon judges called it “a slick project with outstanding commercial potential in an incredibly competitive environment”.
Other ideas in contention included a hack for Microsoft’s Kinect controller for Xbox, which would allow surveys to be answered using physical gestures, and a CATI auto-dialler interface for Skype.
You can read more on the 19-hour programming marathon at the Confirmit blog, while we covered the first hackathon here.
