YPulse’s Coates made MRII president
Coates takes over from Jeffrey Henning, chief research officer for Researchscape International, who now becomes executive director.
Melanie Courtright, executive vice-president of global research science at Research Now SSI, has also been elected as president-elect and Marjette Stark, president of Stark Solutions, as treasurer.
Coates said: “The MRII has a 23-year track record of providing research professionals with a firm foundation in market research principles, while adapting to changes in the industry. I’m honoured to have this opportunity to lead the MRII as we build our portfolio of Principles Express on-demand courses.”
The MRII also voted to offer the Canadian Research Insights Council, a newly formed trade body, an ex-officio seat on the board.
