Liu (pictured) will replace Mark Brinin, who is departing the company to pursue other opportunities after overseeing Wood Mackenzie’s sale to Veritas Capital last year.

Before joining Wood Mackenzie, Liu was chief executive at Zywave, a software, data and analytics company in the insurance sector.
