UK— New consultancy Verve Partners has set up an advisory board to help it prepare for international expansion.
The firm has appointed Patrick Barwise, Gareth Firth and David Packford as founding members of the board, with each given a specific area to focus on.
Barwise, the emeritus professor of management and marketing at the London Business School, will work with Verve co-founder Mike Hall to explore how online brand communities work, and Firth, who was previously a senior partner at PA Consulting Group, will help prepare the firm’s organisational structure for international growth.
David Packford, previously a partner and founder member of the transactions services department at PricewaterhouseCoopers, will help Verve’s management team work on business development and growth opportunities.
All three are cash investors in the firm.
Andrew Cooper, Verve partner and CEO, said of the new board: “They are remarkably well placed and motivated to help Verve take our position as international thought and service leaders in the exciting space of online brand communities for research or marketing.”
