US— Cable broadcaster USA Network and its Sleuth channel have promoted Ted Linhart to senior vice president of research and Stacey Marmor Balaban to vice president of digital and sales research.
Linhart will be responsible for research and metrics across both USA and Sleuth while Balaban will focus exclusively on leading USA’s sales and digital research team.
Linhart joined the network in 2005 as senior director of programme research before being promoted to vice president in 2008. He previously worked in the research department at VH1.
Balaban started her career as a sales research assistant at CNBC and joined USA Networks in 2005.
Co-presidents Chris McCumber and Jeff Wachtel said: “Ted is our secret weapon – we don’t make any decisions without him. It’s rare that you find someone who has such a keen insight into all areas of what we do, and his opinions and feedback are invaluable.”
On Balaban, Linhart said: “Her passion for research in addition to her unrivalled analytical skills has earned high praise and respect from her colleagues.”
