Twitter analytics available for all – or maybe not?
However, seeking to test out the service this morning, Research was instead directed to Twitter’s ad buying website.
According to several dozen news reports, Twitter users were temporarily able to log in to analytics.twitter.com and see information about the performance of their Tweets.
Previously this sort of information was shared only with advertising clients. In a statement issued to Mashable, a Twitter spokesman said: “We’ve been experimenting giving the analytics feature to a small groups of users outside our advertising clients. We’ve been happy with the response thus far, and will determine next steps after the conclusion of these tests.”
