TSE Group to rebrand and refocus on MR, advertising and media

Financials UK

UK— Sports consultancy TSE Group has announced plans to reposition itself as an international marketing and communications group – and MR agency owner – called Porta Communications. David Wright, the founder of PR agency Citigate, will join the firm as CEO to lead the transformation.

Chairman Adam Reynolds told shareholders that the firm plans to embark on an acquisition programme and become a holding company in December that houses market research, PR, media buying and media bartering divisions.

The firm said that it will look to sell subsidiary company TSE Consulting SA, a sports management consultancy with offices around the world.

A general meeting will be held in mid-December and the new company will be admitted to the Stock Exchange on the 20th, when Wright will take over as CEO. Porta Communications will look to raise £2.75m through a share offering when it is listed and current CEO Robin Courage will retire as a director.

In a statement to current shareholders, the firm said: “The directors and proposed director believe that there is an opportunity, by using the expertise and contact base of David Wright and the other directors, to build an international communications and marketing business where there is clear synergy between the services offered, with the objective of maximising shareholder value.”
