Taverner buys Iris Research
Founded in 1981, Wollongong-based Iris Research works with local government clients in New South Wales and Queensland.
The deal will build Sydney-headquartered Taverner’s regional market research capability and presence in Australia. It follows the agency’s acquisition of Coffs Harbour-based Jetty Research in 2019.
Following the acquisition, Iris Research will retain its brand name and Wollongong operations.
Michael Trigwell, managing director, Taverner Research, said: “The addition of the Iris Research team to the Taverner Research group is the next exciting step in the progression and growth of our organisation.”
“By adding the team at Iris Research we are expanding our capabilities for the benefit of current and prospective clients of our portfolio of research brands.”
Peter Watts, general manager of Iris Research, said: “This merger brings new scale and scope to our research that we could not achieve alone, and it will bring enormous benefits to our clients.”
