CANADA— Social media monitoring and analysis firm Sysomos is keeping tight-lipped over reports that it has been acquired by PR distribution service Marketwire.
Online news site Startup North reported that Marketwire had struck a deal to buy Sysomos, which specialises in using text analytics and data mining to analyse discussions on social media sites.
But when contacted by Research a Sysomos spokesman said: “We have no comment to make but will be making an announcement soon.”
Marketwire had not returned calls to comment at the time of publication.
