UK – Human intelligence platform Streetbees has raised $6.7m from technology investors TempoCap.
The investment, which comes in the form of a secondary transaction, will help fund a major recruitment drive at Streetbees and international expansion.
The company, which is based in London and has offices in Lisbon, Chicago and New York, said in October that it planned to hire an additional 130 staff, bringing its total employee numbers to 230.
Streetbees hired Omid Ashtari as chief operating officer earlier this year as part of plans to expand in North America.
The latest investment follows the closure of a $40m Series B funding round in October for Streetbees, which was led by Lakestar. The Series B funding was used to help develop an artificial intelligence-driven human intelligence platform.
In 2018 Streetbees completed a $12m Series A funding round, which was led by Atomico and investors including LocalGlobe, Octopus and BGF Ventures.
Tugce Bulut, chief executive of Streetbees, said: “As we start an exciting new phase of growth, we felt now was the right time to reward some of our early stakeholders that have contributed to our success so far.
“TempoCap are secondary specialists who have demonstrated their passion for supporting high growth, entrepreneurial businesses, and we look forward to a great partnership.”
