Stephen van Rooyen, Sky’s chief marketing and digital officer, has been promoted to chief executive officer.
He has been at Sky since 2006, when he joined as director of product management and product marketing, from Virgin Media where he was director of strategy and planning.
Van Rooyen was made chief marketing and digital officer in July 2014 after three years as managing director of sales and marketing.
He will continue to report to Jeremy Darroch, Sky group CEO.
