US – Cloud business intelligence and analytics company Sigma has appointed Ryan Ried as president, and Julie Lemieux and Wade Tibke as vice-presidents of design and marketing.

Ried was most recently senior vice-president of sales at continuous automation software company Chef, and prior to that led the sales team at business intelligence and analytics firm Birst.

In his new role as Sigma president, Ried will lead the company’s customer-facing operations including sales, marketing, and finance.

Lemieux joins the San Francisco company from Databricks, where she was head of user experience, while Tibke was previously vice-president of marketing operations at Tableau Software.

Rob Woollen, chief executive of Sigma, said: "It became clear that we needed to bring on additional leadership to help us capitalise on momentum as we enter our next stage of growth."

The company raised $20m in venture funding led by Sutter Hill Ventures and Altimeter Capital in 2018.
