MALAYSIA— Selinna Chin has been appointed general manager of GfK Malaysia, responsible for the day-today running of the business and leading the local team.
Chin (pictured) has been in the industry for almost 20 years, and was last at IDC where she was VP for emerging ASEAN markets. She joined the firm as a consultant in 1993 and was made country manager for Malaysia in 1998, before being promoted to regional VP.
At GfK, Chin will report to Stanley Kee, managing director for southeast Asia.
Kee said: “Selinna has an impressive track record in the market research arena and boasts many accomplishments under her belt. Her extensive background and experience in the ICT industry coupled with her deep understanding of the trade make her the ideal candidate to take charge of GfK’s business in Malaysia.”
