US— A former deputy secretary of the US Department of Education, William “Bill” Hansen, has been appointed president of Scantron, which provides survey and assessment services to education, commercial and government organisations.
Hansen served in the Education Department from May 2001 to July 2003. Prior to Scantron, he was president and chief executive officer of Chartwell Education Group, an education-related consulting firm headquartered in New York.
