S4 hires former WPP execs

UK – S4 Capital, the digital advertising and marketing services company established by Martin Sorrell has appointed Scott Spirit as chief growth officer, based in Singapore.

Spirit spent 15 years at WPP, most recently as chief digital officer. After leaving the business in 2018, he joined Eureka AI, where he will remain as a board member and advisor.

In his new role, effective from 18th July, Spirit will focus on clients, mergers and acquisitions and investor relations.

Elizabeth Buchanan, division head at WPP AUNZ between 2007 and 2010 and former OMD chief marketing officer, has also joined S4 as a non-executive director, effective from 12th July.

Sorrell, executive chairman of S4 Capital, said: “I’m delighted to re-unite with Scott and to welcome him and Elizabeth to the team. I know that Scott’s proven knowledge of global markets will be invaluable as we continue to expand the business technologically and internationally. Elizabeth has rare global experience at the forefront of innovation in the industry and that makes her an obvious choice for a disruptive, purely digital business like S4 Capital.”
