S4 Capital buys BizTech

UK – Digital advertising and marketing services company S4 Capital has announced its content arm MediaMonks will merge with Australian martech and customer experience company, BizTech.

With its headquarters in Melbourne, BizTech – which was founded in 2008 – employs more than 90 people in five locations including Toronto, Moscow and Astana.

The merger will strengthen MediaMonks’ marketing cloud expertise and enable MediaMonks and MightyHive to expand their existing relationship with the software company.

S4 Capital already operates in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand through MightyHive, but it will now have a fully integrated content and programmatic operation in Australia and Canada to build on, as well as a global centre of expertise in customer experience and Adobe capabilities.

The merger will be funded from the S4 Capital’s cash resources and paid in cash and ordinary shares of S4 Capital on a 50/50 basis, with lock-up restrictions.

Sir Martin Sorrell, executive chairman of S4Capital, said: “We are delighted with the proposed deal which will bring Michael, Tim, and the entire BizTech team to the S4 Capital family. Their highly specialised Adobe expertise and close-knit client relationships make BizTech the perfect partner to accelerate our business in Australia and beyond.”

Michael Patishman is CEO and Tim Goodman is CTO and founder of BizTech.
