Financials North America

CANADA— The Sound Research has reported record revenue for its 2010-2011 financial year with revenue up 50% to $6.4m.

The strategic research agency said profits were up “in excess” of 20% on the previous year, but did not give a figure.

CEO Ian Pierpoint (pictured) said: “We’re growing at a rapid rate but our main concern is always to deliver high quality research and strategy. In the past 12 months we’ve restructured our business to ensure that rigorous analysis and strategic planning is at the heart of our business, and every project.”

The firm said it plans to open a new office in Chicago in November to operate alongside existing operations in Vancouver, London, New York and Toronto and will introduce two new digital tools over the course of the next year.
