Repucom appoints commercial ops exec

GERMANY — Sports and entertainment insight consultancy Repucom has hired Lars Stegelmann as its executive vice-president commercial operations based in Cologne.

Stegelmann (pictured) will lead the new business teams in the German-speaking region, Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, Portugal and Turkey and report to Stephan Schröder, Repucom’s managing director DACH.

Stegelmann has nine years experience in sales and marketing focusing on sports and entertainment. His career includes working for Match Hospitality and the FIFA Football World Cup in South Africa in 2010, for UEFA linked to Euro 2012 as well as the UEFA Champions League final 2011 in Munich. Most recently he developed the commercial concept for the new Formula E series of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).

In addition, he worked for more than seven years for the international consulting companies PwC and Roland Berger Strategy.
