AUSTRALIA – Australian-based data intelligence company Potentiate has appointed market research specialist Ray Poynter as its chief research officer.
Poynter (pictured) will be based in the UK and lead Potentiate’s product innovation, research techniques, team education agenda and support client engagements.
He set up #NewMR almost 10 years ago and his experience includes director roles at Virtual Surveys, Millward Brown, IntelliQuest and The Research Business. Poytner has also lectured in market research and is an experienced conference speaker and chair. He currently sits on the Esomar council and is a regular contributor to Research Live.
Henry Cheang, chairman of Potentiate, said: “Ray’s experience, thinking and personality is a great fit for Potentiate and we’re looking forward to sharing his expertise with our clients.”
Poynter added: “Research is living in times of change. Potentiate offers a perfect blend of technology, people and love of innovation that will help us disrupt traditional models, allowing companies to innovate and gain market share by being customer-centric.”
Last month, Potentiate bought Vision Critical Australia, and Peter Harris became chief executive officer.
