Rajar names new chief executive officer
Hill (pictured) will step into the role in September this year after de la Bedoyere announced that she would be ending her six year spell with the organisation in June to “undertake new projects”.
The new CEO spent eight years with Initiative Media where he held a number of senior roles including UK & Ireland CEO and joint CEO for Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Earlier in his career he was sales and marketing director at Anglia TV, CEO and founding director of TV sales agency TSMS, director of TV audience body Barb and chairman of the ITV research group.
Hill has also served as a council member at the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising and is the current chairman of corporate communications group Carnegie Orr.
Rajar chairman David Mansfield said: “I am very pleased Jerry Hill has accepted the position of CEO at Rajar. he is a highly rated individual with a very impressive track record in media spanning over 20 years. It is very important for the radio industry that the day-to-day running of Rajar is in professional and capable hands and we feel confident that Jerry is this person.”
