Rait acquires GfK’s custom research business in the Baltics
Rait Group’s CEO Kaspar Jänes said that the two Baltic companies together “will form a very strong market player”, with a total of 40 employees in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
GfK’s Mara Taurina (pictured) will remain as managing director of the operation, now called Rait Custom Research Baltic. Taurina said: “I am glad that we found common ground with RAIT as the companies are a perfect match.”
Rait will continue to work with GfK as its official partner for the Baltics, to ensure continuity for clients. The transaction does not include GfK’s retail and technology business in the region, the companies said.
Founded in Lithuania in 1993, Rait is the largest independent research company in the Baltic region.
