AUSTRALIA – Big data and analytics company Quantexa has opened an office in Sydney, following swiftly after the opening of its Brussels office in April.

The company, which received $3.3m in funding earlier this year, has also recently doubled the size of its global headquarters in London.

According to the announcement, the new Sydney office will ‘put the company in closer proximity to its clients in APAC and forms part of its aggressive international growth plans'.

The new office will be led by Shaun Mathieson (pictured) who, prior to joining Quantexa, worked in senior roles at software firms BAE Systems, SAS Institute and Gresham Tech.

"Being able to work closely with our clients and support them locally is essential," said Quantexa CEO, Vishal Marria.

"Extending our reach outside of Europe with the opening of the Sydney office starts to make this a practical reality."
