US – Cello Health-owned audience intelligence platform, Pulsar, has made Francesco D’Orazio its new CEO.
D’Orazio (pictured) was previously vice-president of product and research, as well as co-founder, of Pulsar and will be based in London and New York City.
He was at Face – which merged with innovation consultancy Pulsar in 2016 – for more than six years, holding several positions including chief innovation officer. He started Pulsar while he was head of social media research at Face.
Job Muscroft was the previous CEO but left at the end of last year.
Pulsar is also opening of an office in Los Angeles to support its growing media, healthcare and entertainment client base in the US.
Mark Scott, CEO of Cello Health, said: “The social listening industry is undergoing a wave of consolidation, and its value is moving from simple brand tracking to creating an ongoing feed of audience insights into organisations.
“Francesco is the ideal person to lead Pulsar during this industry shakeout phase, bringing to the table a mix of excellence in product design, big data, and audience research.”
