Prime Technology Ventures leads investment in Cint

SWEDEN— Research software and services firm Cint has been awarded US$13m in private equity financing in a funding round led by Prime Technology Ventures.

The pan-European venture capitalist was joined in the round by existing company backers, including Nordic investment house Creandum.

Cint said that the cash will be used to expand its business in both existing and new markets, building the firm’s product portfolio and strengthening the team.

Founder and CEO Bo Mattsson (pictured) said: “The investment by Prime is a signal of strength for us as a company, for our market position and maybe most importantly for our long-term vision of bringing market research to everyone.”

Prime’s lead partner Alexander Ribbink will take a seat on the Cint board as a result of the investment. He said: “Cint is a hugely interesting growth case that combines a vast market opportunity with a scalable technology-based model, strong current momentum and a great team both in Europe and the US.”
