The latest appointments and promotions in the global market research industry.

BDRC Continental has made two appointments to its hotels team. JAMES BLAND joins as senior client services manager and PHILIP COULTER joins as client services executive.

Neuroscience researcher EmSense has added four names to its science advisory board: MICHAEL GAZZANIGA of the University of California, Santa Barbara, READ MONTAGUE of Virginia Tech and University College, London, JOHN POLICH of the Scripps Research Institute and THOMAS RAMSOY of Copenhagen Business School.

Informa Research Services has appointed CHRIS GOODE as manager of mortgage lending. Goode has held executive positions at firms including Countrywide Financial, Home Savings of America and California United Bank.

TERNA JIBO has joined Crowd DNA as research and strategy director. He has previously worked at 2CV, Good Technology and Naked Comms.

US-based research software maker Kinesis Survey Technologies has hired TARIQ MIRZA to lead its new European office, based in London. Mirza was previously with Intellex, and has also worked at Quantime, Voxco and Nebu.

ADAM GRECO has joined digital measurement consultants Web Analytics Demystified as a senior partner. He was previously senior director of web analytics at Salesforce.com.

JAMES WALKER has left UK research agency Nunwood to become managing director of video crowdsourcing firm Mofilm, which runs competitions for aspiring filmmakers to create videos for brands.

MarketShare has appointed STEVE TOBIAS as senior vice president and managing director. He joins from Marketing Management Analytics where he served as managing director and client officer.
