People on the move

The latest appointments and promotions in the international market research and consumer insight industry. This week: Simpson Carpenter, Voxco, Keen as Mustard, Opinion Leader, Harris Interactive, Brunswick Research, Firefly Millward Brown, KeyQuest Health, Forrester Research, Leapfrog Interactive, the IPA, Manthan Systems and Infonetics Research.

Simpson Carpenter in the UK has appointed ALEX HODGE as account director, JO MITCHELL as senior research executive and STEPH COLLINS as account manager. Hodge joins from entertainment research agency Brand Driver where she was an associate director, Collins was last at Yahoo while Mitchell was previously at TNS RI where she worked on brand strategy projects. All three will work in the qual team at Simpson Carpenter and report to Abi Markey.

DUSHY De SILVA has joined survey software firm Voxco as regional manager for the Asia Pacific region. Before joining the company De Silva held data processing roles at companies including Colmar Brunton New Zealand, Research International, Millward Brown Australia and Fieldworks Market Research.

Former researcher EMMA LONG has joined marketing and PR agency Keen as Mustard in the UK. She joins the agency from marketing recruitment agency Stop Gap after spells with Hall & Partners, Insight Research Group and GfK.

LYNNE TINSLEY has joined Opinion Leader, part of the research and engagement division at Chime Communications in the UK, as senior research executive. She joins from FDS International and previously worked as a research project manager at Schoolzone.co.uk.

Harris Interactive in the US has appointed MARTY BEARD to its board of directors. Beard currently serves as president of mobile messaging technology firm Sybase 365.

In the UK Brunswick Research has appointed JACK LUTTMAN and JAMES HALLAM as senior research executives. Luttman joins from Populus while Hallam was last at Opinion Leader.

Firefly Millward Brown in Australia has hired JELENA TIERNEY as senior account manager at its Sydney office.

Fieldwork agency KeyQuest Health has appointed NADA SAHINAGIC as a project director. She has previously worked in research positions at Synovate Healthcare, The Refugee Council and Victim Support.

JULIE MERINGER has resigned from her position as managing director of the information technology client group at Forrester Research in the US. She will leave the company in January.

Leapfrog Interactive has appointed SCOTT MILLION as director of its research and analytics department in Kentucky.

NICOLA MENDELSOHN has been nominated to serve as president of the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising. She will take over from Rory Sutherland next year.

Business intelligence and analytics provider Manthan Systems has appointed CHRISTINE GIRODROUX as vice president of customer service. She joins from IRI where she served as vice president of analytics.

TERESA MASTRANGELO has joined the analyst team at communications industry research agency Infonetics Research. She was previously principal analyst and director of research at The Windsor Oaks Group, a company she founded.
