The latest moves in the international market research industry, including the latest from Forrester Research, the IAB, GMC Analytics and more.

SCOTT CHOUINARD has been appointed chief accounting officer at Forrester Research in the US. He joins from Epix Pharmaceuticals and was previously with Fisher Scientific International, where he held several senior roles.

In the UK, the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) has elected TONY EFFIK as chairman of its social media council, where he will be responsible for leading the group throughout 2010. Effik is chief strategy officer at Publicis Modem.

GMC Software Technology has appointed PETER MULLER as president of its GMC Analytics subsidiary in the US. Muller joins from Gartner, where he spent 12 years and was most recently responsible for the firm’s EMEA and Asia Pacific sales.

MICHAEL DAVERN has been named director of public health research at the National Opinion Research Center in the US. Davern was previously assistant professor of health policy and management and research director of the State Health Access Data Assistance Center at the University of Minnesota.

UK-based eye tracking research agency Eyetracker has appointed MICHEL WEDEL as an adviser to the company. Wedel is the PepsiCo professor of consumer science at the Robert H Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.

Enprecis, which offers customer insight services to the automotive industry, has appointed VIKTOR GRABNER as executive vice president of engineering and operations. He joins from Microsoft where he was general manager of service manageability and quality.

Ad agency Deutsch New York has promoted STEPHEN MURPHY to executive vice president, customer and data strategy, MICHAEL BAGALMAN to senior vice president of customer data strategy and KENDRA McCANN to vice president and associate director of media research.
