Online privacy a growing concern, says survey

US — A survey has revealed internet users are becoming increasingly concerned about their personal privacy.

According to the survey, run by GlobalWebIndex to mark ‘Data Privacy Day’ (January 28th) and with a sample of 170,000 individuals in 32 markets worldwide, 56% of people are worried about the internet eroding their personal privacy. This is an increase from 50% two years ago.

According to the individual country figures, Swedes are the most laid back, with only 17% concerned about data privacy. South Korea are the most concerned with 68%.
