O'Brien returns to lead Ipsos Understanding UnLtd

US— Marilyn O’Brien has rejoined Ipsos Understanding UnLtd as chair and CEO of the qualitative research division after spending the last year in a group wide global strategic advisory and client management role.

O’Brien co-founded the division and joined Ipsos when it acquired Understanding UnLtd in 2005 and continued to lead the firm as managing partner.

She replaces Kristin Sharp, who was promoted to CEO of the division last November but has now left the company, a spokesman said.

O’Brien will be supported by new co-presidents Peter Weylie and Ali Perry, who have been promoted from within.
