US — The NPD Group has reshuffled its senior management structure in a move designed to drive growth, the firm said.
IT and operations will now report to president and COO Karyn Schoenbart who continues to oversee NPD’s commercial practice areas and products. She reports to NPD CEO Tod Johnson.
Meanwhile, Steve Coffey is to shift from overseeing the research science team to focusing on emerging technology and shifting consumer and retail trends.
Randy Smith has been named group president, product management and development, a new position, and will also oversee NPD’s research science and advanced analytics teams.
Dennis Brown has been named group resident, Americas Commercial Business, a new position. He was formerly group president of technology and hardlines. In this new role, Brown will oversee the commercial teams for all industry sectors, including technology, hardlines, softlines, and food in the US. He will also oversee the firm’s Canada and Latin America businesses.
“We believe we are in a unique position to meet our clients’ needs by being faster, more responsive, and more flexible,” said Schoenbart.
