INDIA— Nielsen has appointed Shubhranshu Das as regional head for the South Asian arm of its new global financial services practice.
Das (pictured) joined the firm in 2008 and has served as director of client solutions from Nielsen’s Mumbai office.
He has previously worked at TNS, where he led the financial services practice in India, and has also held research and marketing positions at Siemens Telecom, Wipro and Contract Advertising.
Nielsen’s vice president of consumer research Bruce Paul said: “The newly founded global financial services practice group has experienced tremendous growth in the past few months despite global cuts in spending and extreme turmoil in the industry. To continue our growth and capitalise on the opportunities in a rapidly reconstituting market we have appointed strong regional leaders to run the show.”
