US – Media General has renewed its subscription with Nielsen for its local television measurement service.
The deal means Nielsen’s TV ratings service will be used for all of Media General’s owned and operated stations across 48 markets.
It will include subscription to Nielsen Local TV View (NLTV) which allows local stations to expand viewing analysis, create custom trading areas for a target audience, and gain insight into audience sections depending on a variety of characteristics. Audiences on tablet, mobile and computers can also be reported.
Media General’s stations reach 23% of US TV households and more than 50% of the US internet audience. Its portfolio includes LIN Digital, LIN Mobile, Federated Media, HYFN and BiteSizeTV.
