Jones (pictured) has over 13 years’ experience working in strategy and planning, having begun in a graduate position at M&C Saatchi Group; most recently she worked as planning director at The Gate in London.

During her career, she has worked on a number of household name accounts, including P&G Laundry, Co-op Funeralcare, Sue Ryder, NSPCC and Femfresh.

Her role at Given will see her work within the agency’s large strategy team, which encompasses sustainability strategists, brand purpose specialists and researchers. She will be tasked with identifying audience and cultural insights relevant to the sustainability space and will also be responsible for growing the planning department as a whole.

The position will involve developing and growing the agency’s first planning team as part of its strategy department. The planning team will further hone the agency’s brand purpose strategies to better create communication campaigns and engagement for clients.

Commenting on Jones’ appointment, Hannah Nascimento, consultancy director at Given, said: “We already have clever strategists, brand experts and talented creatives in-house, which is why we can create operational purpose and sustainability strategies for brands that drive real change.

“But we are always looking for ways that our work can become even more impactful; that’s why we're so excited about Amanda’s new appointment and the development of the planning team.”
