UK – The winners of the Market Research Society (MRS) Operations Awards, also called the Oppies, have been announced at a ceremony in London.
The largest ever MRS Oppies took place at Drake & Morgan at Kings Cross on 26th September, with more than 300 guests in attendance.
The Premier Award for Operational Excellence, sponsored by Bilendi & Respondi, was won by Cobalt Sky, which judges said “stood out with their holistic approach”, as well as its metrics for project delivery times, budgets and communication.
Potentia Insight and Sense:lab received a highly commended in the category.
The award for Operations Future Leader, sponsored by Catalyse Research, was awarded to Samantha Morrisroe at IFF Research, with Verity Game at Strat7 Incite and Cassandra Rankin at Ipsos UK highly commended.
Best Data Collection – Interviewer Administered went to Ipsos, with Prevision Research highly commended. IQCS sponsored the award.
Best Online Data Collection – Quantitative, sponsored by Prevision Research, went to Giraffe Insights, with Cobalt Sky highly commended, while Best Data Solution, sponsored by I-view, went to two winners: Stravito and Unilever CMI PDC in partnership with Capgemini.
Best Online Qual, sponsored by Perspective, was awarded to Brand Jar, with Discuss highly commended, and Empower Translate was named Best Support Services, with the award sponsored by Criteria.
Best Sustainable Operations, sponsored by Axiom Translate, was awarded to B2B International.
The award for Best Training and Development, which was sponsored by Hannelius Recruitment, went to IFF Research, while I-view London was named Best Viewing Facility, with the award sponsored by Leftfield International.
Recruitment Excellence, sponsored by InsightX Research Solutions, was awarded to Face Facts Research, while RAS Independent Recruiter of the Year, sponsored by iThoughts, went to Caitlin Patterson, recruiting for BEAM Fieldwork.
Jane Frost, chief executive at MRS, said: “The winners have not just won in a strong field of competitors, they have won against companies which demonstrate why the UK is a world leader in the field of research.
“The Oppies are unique and they go from strength to strength, so winning is an even greater achievement every year.”
