MRS launches diversity questionnaire

UK – The Market Research Society (MRS) has teamed up with Lightspeed to survey market researchers on diversity.

Diverse workplace

The questionnaire is being sent to a sample of more than 12,000 MRS members and non-members. The MRS previously worked with WIRe to look at gender diversity in the sector but this research is broadening its diversity remit to include ethnicity.

Jane Frost, CEO of MRS, said the aim was to try to establish a new benchmark for inclusivity in the sector. "We hope to establish what the nature of the issue is, and if we have one. We're sending it out and encouraging people to fill it in and forward it," she said.

Eric Salama, CEO Kantar, said: “For an industry that relies on talent to be successful and have impact there is no greater priority than to ensure that we recruit and develop the best talent and give everyone the opportunity to thrive. Inclusiveness is a must-have. Understanding where we are is a key part of that journey.”

Initial findings from the research should be available by mid-March.
