US – Panel company MindField Online has adopted data quality tools developed by online sample validation business Research Defender (formerly SampleChain).
MindField has integrated the ‘Search’ tool to detect survey bots and prevent duplicate respondents using digital fingerprinting.
It will also use the ‘Review’ technology to measure and score respondents’ engagement by analysing open-ended responses to check for grammar, response length, profanity and responses that have been copied and pasted.
Jay Mace, senior vice-president, MindField, said: “With the complex and evolving landscape of today’s online panel environment, it was paramount for us to add a quality means of validation and real-time data checking to our existing portfolio.”
SampleChain, founded in 2018, rebranded to Research Defender earlier this year.
