MediaCom puts COO in charge of data and technology

US — Media agency MediaCom Worldwide has put its chief operating officer, Harvey Goldhersz, in charge of all data and technology capabilities.

With his new responsibilities, Goldhersz (pictured) is tasked with ensuring MediaCom’s data and technology assets “remain at the leading edge across all aspects of the business and product, including insight, strategy, implementation, analytics and operations”.

As part of the WPP group, Goldhersz’s new role will also see him working with sister companies such as GroupM and Kantar Media to create integrated data products.

The move comes as MediaCom hires Deirdre McGlashan as its first chief digital officer. The former Aegis Media head of digital will report to Goldhersz.
