US— Ticketmaster has partnered with cross-media analytics firm MarketShare to develop a suite of pricing tools that will help clients set and adjust ticket prices for their live events.
The new tools will be part of Ticketmaster’s LiveAnalytics service, which was launched last month and mines the firm’s customer database to provide insight for clients.
MarketShare will use information ranging from historical ticket sales data to social media activity to provide Ticketmaster clients with “meaningful data” about pricing policy.
Ticketmaster CEO Nathan Hubbard said: “Efficient pricing is one of the most important and untapped opportunities to unlock value for fans, clients, artists and teams. Our partnership with MarketShare adds to our unparallelled combination of data and analytical resources that inform our clients on the true value of their tickets, while giving them the flexibility to rapidly respond as that value fluctuates over time.”
