M3 acquires Vidal Group
The Vidal Group has offices in France, Germany and Spain.
M3’s web portal m3.com gives healthcare information to its 250,000 Japanese doctors as well as marketing and R&D support for pharmaceutical companies. Outside Japan, it has more than 3.5 million members and research panel in the US, UK, China, Korea and India.
It first started in 1914 with its pharmaceutical information encyclopaedia and its brands now include Gelbe Liste and MMI Pharmindex in Germany and Vival Vademecum in Spain, Central and South Americas.
M3 said that with this acquisition it intends to maximise the established Vidal brand, physician member base, and pharmaceutical company relationships, while expanding and developing new businesses through its expertise in IT and healthcare.
M3 expects the current management team to remain in place.
