US— California-based analytics and online marketing agency Lyris has acquired a majority stake in Australian MR and marketing services provider Cogent Online.
Lyris first invested in Cogent in 2010 but will now re-name the company Lyris APAC. Cogent founder Adrian Saunders (pictured) has been given the role of general manager and vice president of Lyris APAC, where he will be responsible for leading all sales, operations and management.
Wolfgang Maasberg, Lyris CEO, said: “Cogent was the perfect complement to expand our footprint in Asia Pacific. We’ve partnered with Cogent for several years and together have grown a strong customer base with continued revenue growth in Lyris solutions.”
On Saunders, Maasberg said: “He has a deep understanding of the APAC market and is a seasoned, well-respected digital leader, which will enable us to accelerate sales activities in the region.”
