US — Analytics company Kissmetrics has hired Will Hodgman as its new CEO. He was the co-founder of mobile analytics data startup M:Metrics, which was acquired by Comscore in 2008.
At Comscore, Hodgman served as executive vice president. He first joined the Kissmetrics board in 2010. As CEO He replaces Hiten Shah, who remains as co-founder.
Previously, Hodgmanl was EVP of Nielsen//NetRatings where he was responsible for the company’s services, sales, research and business development, following the sale of a number of Jupiter Media Metrix measurement businesses that he sold in 2002.
While at Jupiter Media Metrix, he served as president of measurement. Hodgman came to Jupiter Media Metrix in 1999 after the company acquired AdRelevance, a business of which he was director, president, CEO and founder.
Kissmetrics recently reached a settlement with two consumers who sued the company over its use of ETag technology to track website visitor behaviour. In June the company sold its micro-survey tool Kissinsights to CatchFree, a feedback platform for consumers to share reviews of free mobile apps
