SINGAPORE – Kantar has appointed Cheong Tai Leung as chief executive officer of its Insights Asia-Pacific business.
Leung (pictured) will lead Kantar’s regional team and help businesses with growth strategies when she joins the company in the first half of 2023.
Reporting to Chris Jansen, chief executive at Kantar, Leung replaces Wayne Levings, who is focusing on his role as Kantar’s chief client officer.
Before joining Kantar, Leung was regional president, Asia-Pacific at GfK, where she spent five years.
Prior to her time at GfK, Leung was at Nielsen for nine years, including as region president for Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa, and held leadership roles at GE Consumer Finance and GE Healthcare.
Jansen said: “Cheong Tai brings more than 20 years of international leadership and business management experience across emerging, developing markets and Asia-Pacific.
“She will be a huge asset to our business as we continue to build our relationships and push for growth in this most dynamic of regions.”
Jansen also said on Levings’ departure from the Asia-Pacific business: “I would like to also express my sincere thanks to Wayne for his commitment and endeavours over the past two years, successfully leading the Asia-Pacific organisation and delivering double digit growth in the region, in addition to his chief client officer responsibilities.”
