Kantar Media was first awarded the contract in 2009, and began running it in 2012. It will now be expanded to include TV viewed on tablets, PCs and smartphones for up to +seven days.

This latest announcement follows renewals and new TV audience measurement contracts secured in Norway, Denmark, Netherlands and Thailand.

Ibrahim Eren, chairman of TIAK A.Ş, said: “The growth of device ownership and that of opportunities to view TV & Video content has grown at an unprecedented rate in our country.

“Advertising models may change, medium precedence may change, content delivery and consumption may develop but fundamentally TV as the proven medium will remain firm.”
