Kantar Media acquires Precise

WPP said the acquisition strengthens its global expertise in media reputation tracking and impact analysis for PR campaigns across the board, bridging mainstream and social media. The acquisition continues WPP’s strategy of developing its services in important markets and sectors and strengthening its capabilities in data investment management.
London-based Precise employs 430 people and counts multinationals, PR agencies, public sector bodies and SMEs among its clients. It was founded in 1996 and has offices in New York as well as its UK headquarters. Precise’s revenues were £28.9 million, with gross assets of £34.4 million for the year ending 30 September 2013.
In the UK, WPP companies (including associates) collectively generate revenues of nearly $3billion and employ more 15,000 people.
