Jackson and Sheldon vie for chairmanship of MRS

UK— Hall & Partners global CEO Vanella Jackson and Accent’s managing director Rob Sheldon will contest the chairmanship of the Market Research Society (MRS).

A ballot, organised by Electoral Reform Services, will be held “as soon as possible” according to MRS.

Current chairman Rowland Lloyd will become MRS vice-president when his term expires at the end of March.

Four nominations for MRS council seats were received from serving council members seeking re-election.

As no new nominations were received, no ballot will be held for council members and Nikki Bell, Geoff Gosling, Raz Khan, and Richard Sheldrake are re-elected unopposed. Tara Lyons did not seek re-election as a council member and her term of office will expire at the end of March.

With effect from 1st April 2010, the officers of MRS for 2010-2011 will be:

Rita Clifton (president)
Rowland Lloyd (vice-president)

Vanella Jackson or Rob Sheldon (chairman of council)
Rupert Anderton
Crispin Beale
Nikki Bell
Susan Blackall
Sue Brooker
Geoff Gosling
Raz Khan
Richard Sheldrake
Leslie Sopp
Alex Wright
